I had a talk with my hubby yesterday about this and today I find you’ve made a most helpful story about this. I’m self taught in both my trades. As a photographer and as a writer. I studied one year of art photography which taught me nothing. I’ve learned most by playing and exploring and seeking answers as the questions pop up. Still, the need to have a degree in something seem in theory to be the one ring to rule them all, but not in real life, not today. The comment about the book hit home and doing a online class. Why? I always look for online video information where possible. The written version is great for revisiting the info taught in the class.
